Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong made a characteristically outrageous entrance at the 2024 SXSW Film & TV Festival, arriving in a Rolls-Royce towing a giant smoking joint down Congress Avenue in Austin. The stunt marked the promotion of their documentary, Cheech & Chong’s Last Movie, and celebrated more than five decades of the iconic comedy duo’s cultural legacy. The film (2024/2025) –  can be streamed on Paramount+ – documents the rise from the duos early years in Vancouver and Los Angeles to becoming counterculture legends whose influence has spanned generations.
